It is common knowledge that collective bargaining leads to better wages and conditions of employment. AFAP`s experienced industrial team has successfully negotiated numerous Fixedsd Wing and Rotary pilot contracts in collaboration with pilot representatives. The prize, in collaboration with National Employment Standards (NES), is based on the Fair Labour Act 2009 (law) between pilots and their employers. Contracts/employment contracts cannot be sub-contributed to the terms of award or exclude the NES. The price and the NES offer general aviation pilots a minimum of applicable conditions of employment. Just a reminder of some of the improvements in the agreement are: -An additional salary level in the bands up to volume 5; Domestic violence leave; An occasional conversion clause; Improved parental leave clause; We recorded 30 of the 31 CHCs. Before you start a new job or review your current employment contract, our industry and legal advisors are available to verify your contract or agreement to ensure that you receive the minimum standards under Australian labour law. The ASU would like to congratulate all the CHC delegates and all the members who have worked so hard to bring this agreement to a close. This agreement reminds us why we are committed to changing the rules.

The whole negotiation process under the Fair Work Act is broken and we must fight for a fairer process for workers that allows negotiations on enterprise or industry-level agreements to be quicker and fairer. If you would like to participate in the rule campaign change, please visit changetherules.org.au/join-the-movement The Pilots Award 2010 provides the minimum working conditions safety net for Australian pilots. AFAP has played a key role in protecting and improving rights under the award through numerous important bids to the Fair Labour Commission (FWC). AFAP also ensures that the price is kept up-to-date and in line with annual salary assessments.
